No site de leilões eBay, por exemplo, diversos códigos de acesso que permitiam aos fãs confirmar o seu ingresso eram vendidos por quantias que rondavam os US$ 500 â embora em alguns leilões esse valor subisse para US$ 1 mil, US$ 2 mil e até US$ 15 mil.
É difícil comprovar se esses valores oferecidos foram de fato pagos e se as pessoas vão poder usufruir dos ingressos adquiridos de segunda mão, pois os organizadores puseram em prática diversas medidas para evitar uma bolha de especulação em torno da última homenagem ao cantor em corpo presente.
Os organizadores enviaram e-mails para 8.750 pessoas que tiraram a sorte entre cerca de 1,6 milhão que se inscreveram para o sorteio de 17,5 mil ingressos (cada vencedor terá direito a duas entradas) realizado no sábado.
No domingo, os escolhidos aleatoriamente foram notificados por e-mail e tinham até as 23h59 do próprio domingo, horário do Pacífico americano (3h59 desta segunda-feira em Brasília), para acionar o código online. Muitos leilões virtuais se realizaram dentro desta janela de tempo.
Ao receber seus ingressos impressos, nesta segunda-feira, os sorteados terão um bracelete colocado no braço, sem o qual não poderão entrar no ginásio Staples Center, em Los Angeles, onde o funeral será realizado. Ao longo do processo, organizadores verificarão documentos de identidade para garantir que os que forem ao velório são os mesmos que se inscreveram online.
A questão, no entanto, é que cada vencedor receberá um segundo bracelete, correspondente ao segundo ingresso. O que quer dizer, como admitiu em uma entrevista à rede americana CBS o próprio porta-voz do Staples Center, Michael Roth, que "teoricamente, o segundo bracelete pode ser vendido".
A empresa AEG Live, proprietária do ginásio, havia anunciado que 11 mil ingressos permitirão aos fãs assistir ao velório dentro do Staples Center.
Os outros 6,5 mil ingressos permitirão que se acompanhe o evento em um telão em um teatro ao lado.
Medidas de segurança
As autoridades esperam que a área seja tomada por uma multidão na terça-feira. Diante da expectativa de que até 700 mil pessoas tentem chegar ao ginásio, a polícia de Los Angeles resolveu fechar a área para quem não tiver ingresso.
"Se você não tem ingresso, se você não tem credenciais, você não apenas não terá permissão para entrar nestes locais, você não poderá entrar nesta área", afirmou Earl Paysinger, chefe de polícia assistente de Los Angeles.
As autoridades pediram aos fãs do cantor que assistam ao velório em casa, pela televisão.
Segundo elas, não haverá cortejo fúnebre e nem serão colocados telões do lado de fora do ginásio.
O Staples Center, onde o time de basquete da NBA Los Angeles Lakers faz seus jogos, era onde Michael Jackson vinha ensaiando para a série de shows que faria em Londres em julho.

A CBS citou um hotel próximo ao Staples Center cuja ocupação já era de mais de 90% no domingo, comparado com 60% uma semana antes.
Em uma entrevista coletiva, o representante da família Jackson, Ken Sunshine, disse que os familiares queriam acomodar a maior quantidade de fãs possível no velório.

Having heard she has been working on new material during her stay on the island, fans had expected to hear some new songs.However, Winehouse stuck to songs already known and mainly taken off her second album, Back to Black.Valerie was the final track Winehouse attempted, before walking off stage mid-way through the song to the confusion of her band, who were not sure if she would be returning to the stage.

US President Barack Obama has said the time has come for Iraqis to "take responsibility for their country".
Mr Obama was speaking during an unannounced trip to Baghdad, his first visit to the country as president.
He was greeted enthusiastically by US troops, whom he praised for their "extraordinary achievements" in Iraq.
Mr Obama also had talks with Iraq's leaders, and confirmed his plans to withdraw all US troops from Iraq by the end of 2011.
The president flew into Baghdad's international airport before travelling by road to meet Gen Ray Odierno, the US military commander in Iraq, and some of the 140,000 US soldiers serving in the country.

Take this will a grain of salt, because this story comes from Star magazine. They dont actually have the best reputation with factual reporting, but I found this story kind of funny in that it could happen sort of way.
Kevin Federline has really tried to portray himself as this great father figure for his kids, someone that stays home and has his world revolving around them. Not so, according to Star, who claims that K-Fed loves to smoke pot and hangs out with hookers when his children arent around.

He loves sexy hookers and regularly parties with them at his home in L.A.s not too far-fetched to call K-Fed a pothead, considering while he was still with Britney, it was said that she kicked him out because of his marijuana habit. Whether or not hes partying it up with hookers, remains to be seen, but this is the part that I doubt somewhat. Im sure there are chicks out there that would even hang out with this douchebag for free, Paris did it.

A range of offers were available then, with combinations ranging from $2,500 per person to $250,000 for multiple tickets to multiple events. The $250,000 packages in 2005 were generally targeted at corporations, but Mr. Obama has vowed not to take money from corporations, unions or lobbyists. His $50,000 figure is the most any individual can donate, according to the committee’s self-imposed rules, and the Obama camp has gone to unusual lengths to make the ceremony accessible to as many as possible, including opening up the entire National Mall to spectators. Still, the pitch is circulating amid Congressional efforts to keep individuals from selling their tickets. (Ms. Feinstein said she would tweak her bill to satisfy technical concerns and reintroduce it.) Linda Douglass, a spokeswoman for Mr. Obama’s inaugural committee, noted that the event is privately financed, and said that major donors “that are funding this inauguration will be entitled to participate in inaugural events.” She added, “We are designing events to celebrate that message of American unity and common values, and these are the folks who are paying for it” and “making it possible for us to stage these events.
