Repost from the old site.
There are clearly some differences between the races, at least between Northeast Asians, European Caucasians and Blacks. Those differences are obvious to me and to many others, and show up in many statistics on a variety of societal variables.
Whether or not there are global personality differences between the races is very controversial, but it seems obvious to many folks just looking around at the world, and as a former US schoolteacher who taught classes full of Anglo-Americans, Japanese Americans and Afro-Americans for years all over Los Angeles, after a while you have to really lie to yourself to believe that such a thing does not exist.
At Gardena High School, there were many Blacks and many Japanese-Americans, and the contrast simply belts you in the face with a knockout punch. Even those experts who agree that there are differences go on and on about whether they are genetic or cultural, when its clear that they are both.
Some recent studies have come out (by Jewish psychologists, of course) claiming that there are no significant personality differences between Blacks and Whites. I dont even care to read such a study, as it flies in the face of common sense observation.
Philippe Rushton is a racist who dislikes Blacks and his books are very controversial. He has suggested r-strategy versus k-strategy for the differences between Blacks, Whites and Asians. R-k selection theory is a theory in biology relating different modes of adaptation that animals use to survive in the environment.
Im going to stay agnostic on the r/k thing and I dont wish to align myself with the oily Mr. Rushton, who, by the way, wishes to do away with all civil rights and anti-discrimination laws, but one thing I think Rushton makes clear is that there is an extroversion-introversion scale that closely mirrors that r/k scale.
As introverts have a vastly lower crime rate and extroverts tend to make up the vast majority of criminals (even among Whites) that makes good sense to me.
Also, extroverts are much more likely to be bored with school, tend to use and manipulate others more, have a strong prey on the weak and thats ok mindset, are vastly less moral and mannered, less inclined to repay debts, have much more regard for self than others, are more promiscuous, gamble, drink and take drugs more, take worse care of their health, are less cautious, have more accidents, take way more risks, are much more aggressive, impulsive prone to wild and excessive mood swings (wild emotionality) and are financially irresponsible and have a lowered life expectancy.
Its clear to me that all of these are true even within a race, say, with Whites (thats the race Im most familiar with).
Its obvious to me that Blacks are the most extroverted race, NE Asians the least, and Whites in between.
Honestly, I have no idea what to do with most of the other races. SE Asians psychologically resemble NE Asians, though I think they are somewhat more extroverted. I havent the faintest idea what to do with Amerindians, Hispanics, Polynesians, Micronesians and Papuans. I suspect that Papuans and Aborigines may be more like Blacks in extroversion.
Polynesians are very odd. Theyre obviously part-Asian and can be pretty quiet and introverted, yet at the same time, they are collectivist, love parties and are surrounded by people all the time. Filipinos are much the same. East Indians, Arabs, North Africans and South Asians are pretty much like Whites, cultural baggage aside.
Culture seems to intervene a lot here, as with everything else, and it gets real hard to disentangle everything. Sure, there are introverted Blacks (Ive known a few of them!) and there are extroverted NE Asians, but we are looking at these groups globally here.

If you've been following the NBA Playoffs, you're probably familiar with all the LeBron versus Kobe commercials from Vitamin Water and the chatter from experts already crowning the Lakers and Cavaliers as Western and Eastern Conference champs while in the middle of heated playoff battles. Well, the teams that they're playing, the Denver Nuggets and Orlando Magic, are sick of the disrespect.
"I told ya'll the other day that we find it really disrespectful that everybody seems to be pulling for LeBron and Kobe to get to the finals," Orlando Magic's Dwight Howard wrote on his blog. "Every time I look at TV, it seems like that's all anybody is talking about. It's like nobody is even giving us a shot at winning this series, and we've used it as motivation. Hopefully, we can mess up those plans of getting Cleveland and L.A. in the finals. If the lil' ol' Magic make it, what will they say then?"
Seems like that motivation is working. The Magic came away with a win last night against the Cavaliers, giving them a 3-1 lead in the series. The Nuggets, who are tied 2-2 with the Lakers and play Game 5 tonight, are bothered by the "preordained" finals matchup as well. The Nuggets have outplayed the Lakers in all four games, but a few mental lapses in the fourth quarter cost them a couple of those games.
"I'm sure the world does want Cleveland and the Lakers, the two best players in the world and the chance to see them in a seven-game series," Nuggets guard Chauncey Billups said this week. "But I don't want to see it."
"Everyone just thought us and Orlando we're going to go down so they can play," Nuggets' Kenyon Martin added. "But that ain't going to happen. I'm going to make sure that doesn't happen. Go play 'NBA Live' if you want to see that matchup."
Could the Kobe-LeBron puppet commercials and NBA Finals chatter prove to be a jinx.

Today, we are living in an age where white girls are dating black men. Some decades ago, this would have been unheard of. There are many reasons why white girls are dating black men and defying the barriers of culture and race. First, though let us examine some of the stereotypes that exist both for the white community and the black community. White people have been seen as the more superior race. This is mainly because their societies have really developed and many white societies of the world are richer compared to black societies. The black man has had a reputation of crime and being the person to serve the white man. This is a slavery mentality which has not been fully eliminated even today. Because of these different stereotypes, the dating scene has been keen to keep the whites away from blacks and blacks away from whites. Since white girls are going for black men, it is interesting to look at the reasons why.
White girls are dating black men because of the cultural awareness that has prevailed over the last few years. Blacks and whites have had opportunities to learn about each other. This has led to the realization that we are all humans and part of the same world. Apart from cultural integration, white girls are dating black men because they compliment each other. This is to say that girls have found interesting attributes or qualities in black men that really make their lives better. Another reason is the fact that society especially the American community, has found a way to make all people almost equal. Economically, blacks have the same struggles as well as whites and for this reason, they have been equalized helping them identify each other as people in the same boat. The wave of young people and new ideologies has really contributed a lot also. Young people are no longer holding conservative ideologies and they have really warmed up to all members of society.
Another reason why white girls are dating black men is for the open secret that black men are brilliant. Im sure you must have heard that a black man has been reinforced with special skill when it comes to bedroom matters. Black men sell like hot cakes for this reason. Perhaps it is their tough exterior that makes them who they are. Black men are undoubtedly the coolest men in the world. For this reason, all girls whether black or white will want to associate with them. No matter the reason, it is vital for you to look beyond color and really judge a person for who they really are. This way, you are going to enter into relationships that cut across race, tribe, nationalities and even cultures. One last reason why more white girls are going for black men is the Hollywood hype. More and more stars are being seen dating cross culturally. Apparently, all people will emulate this trend. Love is something that never ceases to amaze and it really does not matter where you love from but, the person you are in love with.

Dating girls is a stage of life, which you probably both dread and love. Dread because you are not sure if you will be able to impress the girl of your dreams enough to build up a good relationship with her. When you date girls, initially there is no pressure on you to worry about marriage and starting a family.
You are just going to be spend some time together with a lovely woman, enjoy each other’s company and basically get to know each other better before you think about a lasting relationship. However, there are 3 dating rules of thumb that you need to follow which will make your day a success.

African Nations Give Struggling Zimbabwe $400 Million
Zimbabwe, a nation going through large economic struggles, has received $400 million in credit from fellow African governments, according to the nation’s Finance Minister Tendai Biti. South Africa gave $50 million, Botswana gave $70 million and the remaining amount came from the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, reports the BBC. The money won’t be enough, though, to get the nation (whose money woes propelled it to have the highest inflation rate in the world) out of financial trouble. According to Biti, the nation needs about $45 billion to help restore its economy over the next five years, reports the BBC. But political turmoil in the nation surrounding longtime controversial leader Robert Mugabe, the invasions of White-owned farms and the jailing of opposition party members has made many Western nations weary about giving Zimbabwe money, even though the unity government has asked for billions.
Caribbean-born Teacher Sues a London School
A London school teacher, originally from Grenada, is suing an east London school for over $1 million alleging she suffered abuse at the hands of her students, reports the BBC. Shaaira Alexis, 52, told the court that one of her students poisoned her by putting blackboard cleaner in her water bottle. The incident caused her to have a mental breakdown, she said. In addition to the alleged poisoning, Alexis claims that a student slammed a laptop lid on her hand, injuring her finger. She also detailed alleged abuses suffered by other teachers; one male teacher had his tires slashed and a student attacked a female school official with crutches, she said.

Im sure that youve heard countless times that over 50% of all marriages end in divorce. This is an overwhelming statistic, and it just goes to show how difficult relationships with the other sex can be.
Each person has a different time table for getting over a divorce, and its important not to rush from one bad relationship into another. Before getting ready to date again, its wise to make sure that youve had a chance to work through your issues before jumping into the next relationship.
You need to be honest with yourself, and ask yourself if you are prepared mentally, physically, and spiritually to commit yourself to finding a new relationship. Some people are ready the moment their previous relationship ends and others can take months or years until they reach that point.
The longer you were married, the more difficult it becomes to find other singles. Married couples tend to develop and foster relationships with other married couples. Once a divorce is finalized, one of the divorced couple tends to lose this base of friends.
Where are the best places to meet other singes? This is an age old question, and there is a variety of old stand bys: the local bar or pub, night clubs, social clubs, and church to name a few. Many singles rely on friends or people they already know to help them find someone (i.e. a blind date or prearranged meeting). Finally many singles cling to the hope of a chance encounter (i.e. bumping into someone while shopping, etc.) leading to finding Mrs. Right.
The internet becomes a great source for meeting other singles. Its an ever increasing pool with more and more people getting connected to the internet. For seasoned internet veterans, its hard to believe that tens of thousands of people use the internet for the first time each and every day, and this trend wont be ending any time soon.
Where is the best place for these people to find other singles?
Im sure youve read countless stories about free social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace. These sites are great for keeping in touch with people that you already are familiar with, but finding quality singles is not something these sites are renowned for.
For older singles, these sites also seem quite intimidating to use. They tend to be oriented towards younger web surfers, with the majority of users under the age of 35.
Online dating sites provide a great service for divorced men and women.
They provide a large pool of qualified singles that are also looking to find someone else.
Technology has gotten to the point where anyone is able to use one of these sites. If you know how to type out an email, then youre more than qualified to navigate your way through an online dating site.
There are countless sites out there, and the service they offer cover a wide gamut. There are sites for divorced singles, single parents, disabled singles, interracial, ethnic (i.e. Italian, German, Asian, Arab, Indian, Russian, etc.), mail order brides, seniors, gay and lesbian, as well as various sites set up for singles just looking for sexual experiences either online or in person.
Most paid sites will offer a free trial membership so you can get a chance to look around a site and see what it has to offer before making a decision on whether or not to join. See what the pool of singles look like in your local area and take the time to investigate the various options out there.
The world is a really big place, and the task of finding someone can become overwhelming, but online dating sites do a really good job of helping you narrow down your search.

Elena Gheorghe is the Romanian representative in this years Eurovision Song Contest. She will compete in the first semifinal which will take place on 12 May in Moscow. EuroVisionary has managed to talk with Elena about how the Balkan Girls are having fun and how they are preparing for the Moscow show.
How are The Balkan Girls having fun?
The Balkan Girls are optimistic, strong, talented and beautiful, but at the same time are sensitive and romantic girls, so the fun is the joy that is offered by a good song, and the dance is essential foar a great feeling.
What is the story of song, The Balkan Girls?
The Balkan Girls was born from my desire to participate at Eurovision. Shortly before entering the contest, I contacted my music producer, Laurentiu Duta, and I asked him to compose a special song for this competition. After a week, he called me and he sung me the chorus. I was very confident that this song will have a great chance of success. In the Romanian National Final, it was a great success, and now I pray the same will happen in Moscow.
What will the show that you are preparing for Moscow be like? Can you give us more details about it?
I can't give details, but I will assure you that we have contributed with all our forces, imagination, ideas and of course, the talent of people who really know what a "show" means.
What is the song or singer that you fear the most in this competition?
In a competition, I start from the premise that the biggest enemy is myself, and the biggest critic of mine is me....and everything depends on the show and you. From another point of view, this year is a very strong and close competition because there are many good songs, but I wish only that my performance will wake up an optimistic feeling for everybody and want to share my pleasure and love for my music to everybody that is watching the show. If you have managed to convince through interpretation, dance and scenograph, then for sure the public and the jury they will appreciate you.
Have you listened to the songs of the other participating countries this year? How, in your opinion, is the competition this year?
Very good tracks! Artists with real vocal qualities and promises of real shows. It will indeed be a fierce competition for sure, but I prefer to focus very much on what I will do on the stage.
Do you trust in The Balkan Girls song? Do you think that you will give a great performance in Moscow?
I am optimistic and I will do my best with all my power for an interpretation and a show exactly like I have proposed. I wish with all my soul to represent with honour my country, and to get a result with which I can be proud.
Romania is performing in the first semifinal in 14th position. Do you think it is a favourable position for you?
I don't know how important the position is for a participant in the competition. I know only that you have three minutes at your disposal to convince the public and the jury that you have a good song, show and interpretation and you deserve a good ranking.
What are the competitors that have attracted your attention this year? What songs do you like?
I like very much the Norway song, Turkey and Greece. As I said, it will be a close and strong competition and the best one will win.
How do you feel knowing that you represent your country, Romania, at the Eurovision Song Contest? Do you have emotions?
We the singers, we don't often have the chance to represent our country, because there are not so many types of this competition, so I feel very proud and I want to use this opportunity to prove what I can do.
Emotions are vital for those who make music, because without emotions, you can't transmit anything ....I am talking about the constructive emotions.
Will you be accompanied in Moscow by the same beautiful girls that we saw in the Romanian Final?
Yes. On the stage it will be the same formula, but with a new solist as a backing vocal. Lucia Dumitrescu is her name, a very talented girl, with numerous prizes in national competitions. She has an exceptional voice.
Do you think that reintroducing the specialist jury this year will bring advantages for Romania? What comments have you about this EBU decision?
It seems to me a wise step and I agree entirely with this decision. I believe that the jury and viewers should take part equally in the final decision, regarding the winner of the Eurovision.
Do you rely on the votes from the Balkan countries?
YES! But most of all, I am counting on me that I will do my best and that my song will send all the people soul, whether they come from Balkan countries or not.
How is Romania promoting the song? What countries have you visited?
We are trying our best to do everything possible for our song will be known beyond the borders of our country. We were in Germany, where I gave several interviews to radio, television and major websites. We are preparing for the UK Eurovision Preview Party, The Netherlands Eurovision Concert and the Belgian Party, where I will take part. Until then, we are glad to hear good news from many countries, where even if we didn't visit for a promo tour, they said to us that the song is listened to on the radios and in the clubs. Greece, Malta and Turkey are some of those countries. We can only enjoy and we thank those who have promoted our song.
Do you believe in internet promotion? Do you think it will help for the Moscow result?
As long as the song reaches the ears of thousands of people who will watch this contest, I believe that any promotion is welcome and I think that these days, the internet is used by many people, and has an important word to say in the relationship between an artist and a consumer of music. On the internet, especially through youtube, you can see the pictures, movies, concerts and interviews with the artists.....I wait for everyone to talk on my website, www.elenagheorghe.ro
What is the message that The Balkan Girls want to send to the whole of Europe?
Listen to the song The Balkan Girls, and if you like it, give it the chance to be among the best tracks in Europe. I am ELENA GHEORGHE and thanks for all your support. I promise that I will do my best to make sure no-one is dissapointed by me. Have the peace and love! BE BLESSED.

Respect and love, fondness and deep veneration, a feeling of thankfulness and recognition at His splendor as the great Teacher -- all came together in this single outcry. She was able to say nothing more. She threw herself down at the feet of her Lord, to wash them with tears of joy. But the Lord said to her: "Touch me not, for I am still not ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and tell them: 'I ascend to My Father and your Father and to My God and to your God.' "
She came to herself and again ran to the Apostles, so as to do the will of He who sent her. She ran into the house, where the Apostles stayed still in dismay, and announced to them the joyous message "I have seen the Lord!" This was the very first preaching of the Resurrection. The Apostles were obliged to proclaim these glad tidings to the world, but Mary first proclaimed this message to the Apostles themselves.
Holy Scripture does not tell us about the life of Mary Magdalene after the Resurrection of Christ, but it is impossible to doubt, that if in the terrifying moments of Christ's Crucifixion she was the foot of the cross, with His Mother and John, undoubtedly she stayed with them during the time after the Resurrection and Ascension. Thus, in the Book of the Acts of the Apostles, Saint Luke writes: that all the Apostles with one mind stayed in prayer and supplication, with a certain women and Mary the Mother of Jesus and His brethren.
Holy Tradition testifies, that when the Apostles departed from Jerusalem for preaching to all the ends of the earth, with them also went Mary Magdalene to preach. A daring woman, whose heart was full of reminiscence of the Resurrection, she went beyond her native borders and set off to preach in pagan Rome. And everywhere she went, she proclaimed to people about Christ and His Teaching, and when many did not believe that Christ is risen, she repeated to them what she had said to the Apostles on the radiant morning of the Resurrection: "I have seen the Lord!" With this preaching she made the rounds of all Italy.
Tradition relates, that in Italy Mary Magdalene visited the Emperor Tiberius (14-37 AD) and proclaimed to him about Christ's Resurrection. According to tradition, she took him an egg as a symbol of the Resurrection, a symbol of new life with the words: "Christ is Risen!" Then she told Tiberius that, in his Province of Judea, Jesus the Nazarene, a holy man, a maker of miracles, powerful before God and all mankind, was executed on the instigation of the Jewish High-Priests and the sentence affirmed by the procurator Pontius Pilate. Tiberius responded that no one could rise from the dead, anymore than the egg she held could turn red. Miraculously, the egg immediately began to turn red as testimony to her words. Then, and by her urging, Tiberius had Pilate removed from Jerusalem to Gaul, where he later suffered a horrible sickness and an agonizing death.

I love children.
Ok I dont walk around saying and s so cute, but I am very good with children and do look forward to having my own little SBM running, macking all the girls in Kindergarten with his mixture of wit and genius (lets be real girls dont start finding that attractive till their early 20s).
There are countless differences between children and adults. Besides the fact that I could crush a 5 year old in a race, and Im 3 times his size, there are countless differences between an adult as myself and any pre pubescent individual.
But sometimes you come across someone who skipped the puberty process, someone whose mental/emotional capacity just isnt up to par with their age group. Im not talking about those clinically defined with a mental disability, I am talking about those chics/guys who are acting their shoe size and not their age. Yes those immature motherf ers that just make life for us grown folks hard.
The one thing that truly defines a man from a boy, a woman from a girl, and an adult from a child is their ability to handle .
Yeah issues.
Kids cry, they yell, they throw things, they refuse to accept the truth, they stick their fingers in their ears, they run away, and the list goes on. Sadly, these childish grown ups are no better. They hear something they dont like and they just loss their mind.
If you need to see this in person to get a handle of it, no problem. Drive on down to your local hood, dont worry its never more than 45 minutes away, hell, it might be right outside your stoop. Next, find you a hood rat. They can usually be found walking around with curlers in the hair, walking multiple children that doint look related, and usually has a t f**k wit me look on her face. Approach said hood rat, and tap her on the shoulder and say something slightly upsetting. Your hair is mess or You should have a hat on your kids head, etc. She will promptly blow up, threaten your life, and maybe try and stab you. A grown up kid. Im not saying you werent in the wrong but I mean damn cant just be going off on everybody cause they think your 3 year old son should have a hat on in 20 degree weather.
Adults handle discomfort and problems in a mature way. They attempt to address, fix, or avoid the problem. Their actions are usually aimed at actually getting something accomplished and the biggest thing they dont overreact. Just to drive this home lets see some examples of Adults and Big Kids getting delivered bad news.
Agitator: Sorry, we are out of hot wings
Adult: Damn. Ill have a hamburger instead.
Big Kid: Uh uh thats some bullsh*t. How you not gonna have hot wings in this b*. I think your just racist and dont want to give no n a some chicken. F**k yall (*at this point a chair is thrown*)!
Agitator: The test came back positive were gonna have a child and Im keeping it
Adult: Oh man. Well, Im gonna support my seed and make sure everything is good for both of you.Big Kid: *silence because hes already in the car trying to start the engine and calling his cell phone company to give him a new number that this chic will never know*
Agitator: Sorry baby, Im going to be 20 minutes late because of work.
Adult: s Ok honey. I need to go to the convenience store around the corner.Big Kid: WTF! Cant you leave the office on time. You know what, go by yourself. Im calling up my friends and were going out to the club.
Agitator: m not sure if I want a girlfriend right now. There is a lot going on in my life.
Adult: I understand but I need more right now. We cant keep seeing each other anymore.Big Kid: You b h a** N A!!! I knew I shouldnt have wasted any of my time with your punk a** in the first place. Your d*cks small, you smell like dirt, and your mommas a whore.
Yes these big kids just cant handle disappointment or not getting their way. They pout, complain, through tantrums and resort to whatever means necessary to get their way. Their like a disease, plagueing us level headed individuals who have some semblance of sense to themselves.
Have you come across one of these Big Kids? Are you a reformed Big Kid? Are you currently one and willing to admit and seek assistance.

I'm sure none of my blog readers will be surprised to know that I abhor Tyler Perry. He's number 2 on my protest list, following closely behind Michael Baisden. I'll save the explanation of my protest list for another post.
Back in the day, I refused to watch The Nutty Professor movies. I did not find it funny that Eddie Murphy chose to dress up as women characters. Sure, comedians do it all the time, even white ones. I don't base my judgement of right or wrong on who else is doing it. If I think its dumb, its dumb to me, no matter what other race is doing it. Besides, 'white is right' is a saying from a bygone era and isn't a guiding principle of my life. Anyway, I didn't find it amusing that Eddie Murphy portrayed black women as overweight, sex-crazed and uncouth. I particularly found his portrayal of the grandmother's character offensive. I was raised in part by my grandmother and did not appreciate the scenes in the trailer where the grandmother took out her false teeth (leading one to draw a conclusion of what she'd do with her exposed gums) or took off her 'granny panties' in order to seduce the 'skinny' Eddie Murphy. My grandmother would never act like that. It just seemed very unrealistic and stereotypical, and as a young woman (I believe this was high school or college) I just refused to support it. My friends didn't understand, and felt I was taking things too seriously. After a while I learned to stop arguing with people who held entertainment in a higher regard than the dignity of black women.
Fast forward a couple of years. I don't consider myself a Martin Lawrence fan but found some of his sitcom episodes funny. For the life of me I couldn't understand why he chose to be the lead character in the Big Mama's House franchise. That movie was on my protest list. Then, a few years later, Dave Chapelle appeared on Oprah and explained how he refused a movie role where he was forced to wear a dress. After he walked off the set, that's when the stories of his insanity were circulated in the press. His explanation made alot of sense to me. To me, if you want to make fun of a woman, at least cast a woman in the role. Why is a black man wearing a dress funny?
So you can imagine my dismay at the wild popularity of Tyler Perry's stage plays. Speaking ill of the character of Madea is akin to 'talking bad about Ms. Jenkins' from In Living Color. Don't nobody talk bad about Madea! Some fans don't take too kindly to that! (I wonder how many black women are familiar with the mythological Madea?) Other women I know will support Perry simply because he's a black man. "We gotta support that brotha!" they say. That's not a good enough reason to me.
The saggy-breasted, gun toting, violent portrayal of black women is disgusting to me. Its irrationally hilarious to me that black women will come out in droves to support that garbage, but when you openly discuss on the internet problems that the black community face, then people don't want to 'put our business out there'. How is it that people can't see the difference? Money is a sign of emotional support (think about how you feel when a man asks you to go dutch on a date..). If we're throwing money at Perry's work then that's a sign to the entertainment powers that be that that's what black people want to see. Forget the biopics on historical black people, uplifting stories that warm the heart, hell even Denzel needs to fall by the wayside, bring on Madea! *sarcasm*
So not only has Perry gotten rich off making the country laugh at the expense of black women's image, he will openly tell you how black women chase him. I read an article where he related how black women were scaling the fence of his mansion, trying to get with him. Now if that were true (WTF?), that's one thing.. but why would he openly admit that? (And isn't he gay anyway?)
Take a look at Perry's body of work (just the movies). What are his characters saying about black women.

Firstly, does anyone actually watch Campbell Brown's "No Bias, No Bull" on CNN? I'm guessing most people on this blog watch Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann, Sean Hannity -- either for serious or for giggles -- Bill O'Reilly or absolutely nothing because you hate them all.
Or maybe you're like me and you're watching "Ugly Betty" or the "Lost" repeat with the obvious pop-ups or something.
I always saw No Bias, No Bull as the world's most unnecessary show (with the most ludicrious title), largely because Brown is kind of boring to me ... Just like Paula Zahn was and CNN doesn't seem to know how to nurture a proper polemic, even a so-called unbiased one.
But if you watch CNN you may have noticed that Brown is super pregnant and will be taking a leave of absence. With that leave, CNN has finally decided to free TV commentator/host/pundit/personality Roland Martin from the "Pundit Plantation" and have him sub for Brown.
I thought Martin, who was signed by CNN but has barely been used by the network (other than one special and some Obama-based, election punditry), was going to end up in that same closet where they keep Soledad O'Brien, but now Martin will get his chance to helm a show and possibly later, get his own show, if things go well.
But some are wondering if he's the man for the job.

So I was reading cosmopolitan magazine, as I was asked for my opinion on all the random tips, tricks, and guides to keep, get, and stimulate a man. It was interesting.
Now this site was started as a chance for one Single Black Male to help put a voice out there for us when it came to relationships and whatnot. A lot of the information about out there seems to be crafted by women and often makes us into mere sex crazed, heartless dirty dogs and I know Im not heartless and shower on the regular (no comment on the first point). While sometimes correct and insightful, way too many females just dont know what their talking about and are leading others into falsehoods, fallacies, and just downright criminally insane statements all under the premise as knowing men. Sad at times
At some point I realized as just one man I may be giving a similarly unrepresentative opinion of all men (of course thats what the comments section is for) but I tried to open it up more, brought on new writers (Slim Jackson and Mr. Faqs I see yall) and started featuring other bloggers, emails from readers, and all that. Basically helping to further SingleBlackMale.net as your one stop stop for Relationship, Dating, Sex and all that other good sh*t straight from the mouths of Single Black Men.
Damn I should put that in the about section
I digress
As I perused the pages of cosmo reading about how my testicles can take a lot of abuse (I kid you not this was a sex secret) I began to think where do they get this from and do these women who know men really know men?
As soon as I thought of this the answer followed within seconds hell naw they dont know sadly these women will be forever mistaken. But being the unbiased open minded individual I am I continued to flip through and think these women actually arent that far off. Out of there little list of sex secrets only about 2 were wrong (Im sorry maybe its just me but my testicles need to be coddled more than an infant dont get ruff with them before you find yourself accidentally kneed in the head politely asked to stop).
So now Im conflicted. Can this womens magazine really lead women to better relationship with men? Is there really good advice being dished out by non-jaded women on how to keep, hold, and get a man?
Finding good relationship advice is something damn near everyone is looking for. Whether you get it from a blog, an advice column, a magazine, the barbershop, or just your close friends everyone has questions. All this boils down to one question which I have been lamenting over for years
Where does the best advice come from the opposite sex or the same?
Lets dig into it
Same Sex Advice (Same as you opposite of your mate)
Most men have dealt with several women in a romantic capactity, and likewise for most women. So there is a good chance they know more about the opposite sex than they know about themselves. As a man I dont know what turns on any other man in bed besides me and Im just one. Brenda from around the block will probably have better advice on how to give your man a great valentines over me.
Opposite Sex Advice
The real reason any man has a female friend that he doesnt want to sleep with (usually at most women out of any guys list qualify) is so we can get advice when Sheniqua threw a bowl at our head yelled at us when all we did was answer her question. Women understand women and men understand men right?
So I want to know where should we look to for advice? As a woman do you go to cosmo and your girlfriends or come on over to SBM.net (well thats an easy one)? As a man are we polling up the fellas as we put a dollar between some cheeks at the shaka joint drink a beer while watching the game or do we call those two female friends to answer lifes questions?
And I dont want to hear any of those Its a combination of both answers pick a side man up.

Caroline Kennedy, who has asked Governor David Paterson to appoint her to succeed Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton — and who helped oversee the vetting process for Obamas possible running mates — is declining to provide a variety of basic data, including companies she has a stake in and whether she has ever been charged with a crime.
Kennedy declined on Monday to reply to those and other questions posed by The New York Times about any potential ethical, legal and financial entanglements. Through a spokesman, she said she would not disclose that kind of information unless and until she becomes a senator.

This is Part I of my Happy Nappy Head Catharsis Series.
Growing up, I remember the hushed tones in which my Grandmother would speak in regards to my nappy hair. I remember the way my mother would impatiently tell her that she refused to put any chemicals on my head. I remember the anger I had at my grandmother for not pushing the issue of making my mom press or relax my hair. I remember the anger I had towards my mother for being so stubborn.
Wash days were the worst, as I was guaranteed to have to listen to my Grandmother complain about how difficult my hair was as she pulled and combed out the "kinks." I hated the little bantu knots she would put in my hair because we didn't have a blow dryer and the fan just wasn't enough to dry my hair in the humid, tropical climate. As soon as I went outside with them, I would be subjected to verbal torture, so I pretty much ended up playing with myself until my hair could be put in the subdued little plaits I was accustomed to wearing.
I hated my hair. I hated it with a passion. I even looked at the fine curls I had on my forearms and wished the hair on my head would be a little less kinky curly. I used to put towels on my head after getting out of the shower. I would twirl and preen in the mirror, flipping my imaginary "hair" over my shoulder like I was some black Prell girl. When the towel came off, I was thrusted back into what I felt was the cruel reality of nappy hair.
For whatever reason, in Panama I didn't really have to suffer that much. I think that hair and race were issues, but I think they kind of expected little black girls to have crazy, kinky hair. I was never really teased for having my hair natural. I was told that I couldn't be "Penny" from "Inspector Gadget" when we were playing one day in class though. Little Ricardo offered up his impeccable logic: I couldn't do it because "Penny's" hair was straight and mine was not. I was a little devastated, but I guess I had to understand, even if I stubbornly continued to plead my case. Again, my hatred welled up inside of me for the hair on my head.
Arriving in the United States was a rude awakening. Until today, I feel the main reason I ended up on the bullies' radars was due to my little nappy headed self. I won't get into the actual bullying too much, because that's for part two.
I remember being called such inventive and colorful names as "Crisco Naps," "African Booty Scratcher," in addition to being laughed at for having "beady beads" and a "kitchen" in the back of my head. If you're wondering if the taunts came from white kids, they were not. They came from African-American kids, popular and not so popular. I was confused that they would come down so hard on me for being me: black with natural hair. It was as if my natural hair was offensive to them. I was to be reviled and teased for my hair, among other things like my big lips. That's also for another post. The white kids really didn't know any different and they had little to say, if anything at all. That was even more confusing. Imagine the culture shock I had experiencing such verbal abuse from black kids.
I finally caved in and begged my mother to relax my hair. One day, I walked past the ethnic hair aisle in the grocery store and threw a tantrum. The smiling faces of the little black girls with their silky and versatile hair on the Just For Me relaxer box made me all the more angrier. My grandmother was there and I think that was the catalyst for her asking my mother one last time to get my hair relaxed.
A few weeks later, during the summer of 1993, right before I went into middle school, my mother made the appointment. We used to go to this lady named Miriam's salon. She was not very nice, and very condescending. I remember that she had an Asian hairstylist there who would do old ladies' hair. I don't know how she worked there next to that woman. I will also never forget that they never felt the need to hide the Chinese magazines (based on my memory, and the exposure I had to Chinese while married to my ex-husband, a Chinese linguist, I'm pretty sure they were Chinese Mandarin characters) that introduced me to the world of Hentai.
I was so happy to be there, but as she started to put on the caustic substance on my head, and it started to feel like I dipped my virgin scalp into a vat of acid, I began to regret my decision. I soldiered on thinking that my life would be fabulous with my relaxer. I would daydream that all my bullies would apologize and invite me into their inner circle. In my daydreams, I would then laugh and fight off suitors who would invite me to movies and to the mall. I would no longer be awkward. I would be loved and admired, all while my hair would flow in the wind like silk.
Yeah, right!
On the first day of seventh grade, I got off the bus and nothing changed. I got a few stares, and a few mediocre compliments, but the bullying began anew. It was, of course, more violent. More on that later.
Unfortunately, we had no idea how relaxers worked, and months came and went before I got a touch up. My mother didn't even know that I was to wash my hair. I don't know how long my hair went unwashed. It certainly wasn't conditioned. It looked terrible. It looked like one of those old school brooms.
I did the Toni Braxton at 13 years old, back in 1995, and never really grew my hair out. It didn't want to. It was unhealthy and I didn't have the patience to deal with it, but for 14 long years, I subjugated my hair to chemical torture off and on.
In 2008, I made the choice to stay away from any kind of chemical period. Back in 2007 when I decided to go natural and stay natural, I even made excuses for using a texturizer because I didn't know how to take care of my hair. When I did my big chop in September of this year, I vowed that not one chemical process would come anywhere near me or my strands, and I have stuck by that vow. I could do this forever and I intend to. I will.
I look back with all the knowledge I have acquired from being fully natural these last few months, and I don't blame my mom for not knowing what to do with my natural hair. I don't blame my grandmother either. They weren't really given options. It was either go straight or be screwed. While my mother has been natural for decades, I don't think a lot of black parents had the resources to fully arm themselves and their kids from the "straight hair movement." Keep your daughter's hair natural? Oh, the horror!
It's funny because I always felt guilty for giving in to my abusers and "haters." I had a deep knowledge of self, but I felt incomplete. Some of my most empowering moments came with my hair natural, actually most of them did. I won't lie, being the only black chick in Seattle to sport the "Kelis" circa 2006 was pretty cool too.
Getting back to my (nappy) roots has been like finding a prized heirloom in the rubble of fire. It's been a way for me to forgive myself for caving in to children who had nothing else better to do but take out their own self-hatred on me. It's also been a way for me to realize that I shouldn't be too hard on my younger, more impressionable self, because after all, I did go back to my roots. The taunting didn't ultimately work because I went back to being who God wanted me to be.
My nappy, "lowboy" or TWA (teenie weenie afro) is strong like I am in tough situations. It's kinky just like me. It's thick and it's luscious just like I am, especially in a black pair of leggings and some badass boots. It's black and beautiful like me. It's just me.

Online dating has become so popular that right now there are many dating sites available to people. How do you choose the right dating site?
What people usually do is compare the services that they can get from a site and determine if its corresponding price is expensive or not. You should have a budget for online dating before you start comparing service costs. There are many free online dating services that you have to be careful of. Free services could have absoutely any type of people, and most of them are insincere and will just use you as some sort of plaything. But with paid services you could have more assurance about the type of people that you would meet, for people dont willingly waste money just for the heck of it.
when you compare costs, find out if the dating site that you want charges for every message that its subscribers send before you sign up. A cheap site might make you spend more in the long rin if it charges for your messages. Dont just compare costs but compare the advantages and disadvantages of all the sites that you are considering. Remember that price alone does not gurantee the quality of service that you can get.
Its always wise to ask people before you choose a particular site. Be sure that you ask those who are experienced in online dating so that you could get the best advice about what site is the best. If your needs dont match up to common dating sites, you could check out those specialized sites that serve specific according to different categories.
If you think you have already chosen the best site, dont sign up at once. Instead, try to find out everything that you can about it. You could do this by reading different reviews about that site.

The Bad Girls Club last night (it was hawt might I add) and one of the girls this season said that she does not date outside of her race. She said she would not date a black man or any man that wasnt white.
That got me to thinking..why have I never dated a white guy, or an Asian guy or a Mexican guy??
The simple answer is that I love black men, and have not found that there is a shortage of them for me to start perusing other races.
The more complicated answer is that even though I am an adult and have my own life and way of thinking, I was raised in a family that is not very accepting of interracial dating. Many African Americans (myself included) grew up with phrases like this being used
If he/she cant use your comb then dont bring em home
Now if I were to play pretend for a moment, I can vividly picture what would happen if I were to bring someone home other than a black man
picture this
I tell my folks that I am bringing someone special home. Our relationship is serious (they know I wouldnt bring any ole body home) and I would like for him to meet my family. I would also have to tell them he isnt blackfor his sake that would be a mandatory element of the pre-meeting conversation.
If he were a white man, my mom would be cordial but she would have a look of Lawd my daughter done started jiggin on her face. My brother wouldnt care because he doesnt care if I dated a booga bear as long as we didnt need any help from him. My cousins/aunts etc. wouldnt spare a word. They would make comments such as these in front of the gentleman Lawd this chile dont brought home a white man, now aint this about a blip, Aww hell she dont went white, another one bites the dust.
If he were Mexican my mom would want to know where I found him ||blank stare|| She would of course be civil and she wouldnt say anything mean, but once he was gone she would ask me if he was legal and if he wanted to marry me to become a legal citizen. My brother, once again wouldnt care and as expected my other family members would make comments that were inappropriate. Things like A Mexican, aww hell nawA Mexican?? ||GASP||
If he were Asian my mom would still be nice to him, but she would pretty much conclude that I met him at one of the neighborhood corner stores, because surely his family owns one of them. My brother would first laugh, then he would laugh again, then he would go back to chill mode and not give a damn. As for my other family members they would have a riot off of this one. They would swear that they knew him from the corner store and that Mr. and Mrs. Wong were his parents. Even if he denied it, they would be still believe that his family owned a store in the neighborhood.
Now even with my family not being comfortable with interracial dating and not being the best guest when in the company of interracial couples, my main reason for never dating outside my race is my personal preference of black men. I have never found any reason to date any man but a black one. Dont get me wrong, I have been approached by white men and even a Spanish guy, but I have never been interested in the offers. Black men come in so many wonderful packages that even when tired with one specific design you can change it up a little and still have a helluva good black man.
I cannot say that I would never date a man that wasnt black, but I will say that I love black men and for now I have no shortage of Black Man Packages to choose from.
