Sounds like a lot of activity going on! While we understand the need for fans to say their goodbyes to MJ, we can't help but wonder... how will this all go down? The area is certain to be flooded with people wanting to pay their respects - but can security keep the chaos under control? And should such a viewing even have been allowed? And what about that 30-car LAPD escort just to get the body up there? Are us taxpayers paying for that?!
Our photographer adds: "All the carnival rides have been removed. The grass was finally being watered. The place was bustling with activity but it was definitely coming together - this old, dead property is coming alive again."

Cigar stores may sometimes have problems with their suppliers, but a verbal dispute between Famous Smoke Shop retail store manager Tim Carr and Pete (Tatuaje Cigars) Johnson is now headed for full-fledged fisticuffs. The two cigar men are scheduled to settle their differences on Friday, June 26th.
It all started on February 7th, 2009, when Pete Johnson appeared at his first Famous Smoke Shop in-store event.
The store was filled to capacity and we were having a banner sales day, said Tim. s when I asked Pete to be one of the featured vendors at our Famous Cigar Expo in June, and he readily accepted.
Several weeks later, Pete called Famous Smoke Shops Humberto Gonzalez to tell him that he wouldnt be able to attend the Expo.
When I pressed him as to why, Pete admitted that one of Famous competitors him not to participate, said Gonzalez. I reminded Pete that he had a handshake agreement with Tim, and tried to convince him otherwise, but he wouldnt budge. Then when I told Tim about the conversation, he was really teed-off that Pete hadnt called him personally.
After that, Tim made several unsuccessful attempts to call Pete.
When I finally got through to him, the conversation was pretty heated, said Tim. I told him he wasnt sticking to his word, like a man. That must have gotten his feathers pretty ruffled, because then he hung up on me.
At the end of March, Tim flew to Miami to meet with Christian Eiroa of Camacho Cigars. He told Christian about Pete backing out of the Expo and the argument, and Christian offered to support Tim in any way he could.
Soon, word of Tims conversation with Christian got back to Pete, making him furious. The two men took their dispute public on Friday, May 1, by calling each other out over the airwaves during Famous Smoke Shops weekly Happy Hour, which is broadcast live on ESPN Radio of the Lehigh Valley. The result was that Famous Smoke Shop and Tatuaje Cigars would settle their differences in the ring with a boxing match that will take place at Famous Smoke Shops headquarters in Easton, PA. on Friday, June 26th.

Weve still got the discussion post up and running for the rest of the weekend (and Im loving hearing what Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie movies you guys love!), but I just saw this and had to post it.
Apparently an English teacher in Taiwan has her students writing letters to some of their favorite celebrities as a way to help them to not only learn English, but how to use what theyve learned in a realistic way. The students have written to a number of celebrities, including: Will Smith, Tobey Maguire, and Daniel Radcliffe. They also wrote letters to our favorite female star, Angelina Jolie.
Each student was given a single paper to write on. Each paper would hold about 100-150 words on each side, making a total of 200-300 words when finished. There was a small area on one side for students to draw a picture in and another on the other side for putting a photograph in. Kids loved writing the letters to her. They talked about movies they saw her in, how brave she always was, about their favorite scenes in the movies and even asking her personal questions.
When they had finished writing both sides, they drew pictures at the bottom of the paper. It was about 25% of the papers size, so they had plenty of room to draw. Some drew fighting scenes from Tomb Raider, others drew a close up of Angelina Jolie’s face, yet others just drew things they knew how to draw like pocket-monsters, Hello Kitty, and so on. Students were allowed to put up to four stickers on the paper if they had them.
After that students brought a photo from home of themselves and we taped them to the back of the letters. Students put on some last finishing touches, then the teacher mailed them out.
Most of the children were really excited to send a letter to Angelina. One boy even remarked:
“I love Angelina Jolie! I will keep the photograph forever and put it up on the wall by my bed, so every morning when I wake up, I can say, I love you baby!” I think this sixth grader’s straightforward response sums up the feelings of every student in the class, not to mention the teacher.
They, however, didnt think that shed respond.
The kids protested saying that Angelina Jolie would not care about them. They refused to believe that she would take notice of them, since they live so far away in Taiwan.

Yeah, he better be big and strong enough to keep his friends from kicking his ass for sleeping with Amy Winehouse.  How this woman attracts a man is beyond me.  From the drugs, infectious impetago, ugly tattoos, horrendous teeth, bruised legs, and twig like body, Im pretty sure shes at the opposite end of the scale of what most guys find attractive.  I actually think shes Medusa in disguise and the second a dick is exposed in front of her she turns it to stone.  Thats the only way I figure she could get a guy hard.  I hate to say it, but its almost like rape.  She will never be brought to justice, though, because to admit that you had any sort of sex with Amy Winehouse is like ensuring you will never be allowed to touch another woman again.  And if you think you will be able to fool them, unfortunately for you the musty scent burned into your skin from her vagina tips them off as well.  Sorry, now quit stalling and go make friends with your hand again.

Shes hitting the clubs.
Lindsays first stop last night was Teddys, but she kind of wigged out and refused to get out of the vehicle. Maybe she was all gacked or something because she decided she did not want her picture taken. So she made her driver hot tail it out of there.
After that, she was spotted at Samanthas hangout, Bar Deluxe. Maybe she doesnt know you arent supposed to frequent your recent exes hangouts! Unless youre looking for drama, that is.
Linds headed home around 2 a.m. with a handful of friends. Topping off their night, Linds and pals retrieved eggs from her refrigerator and hurled them at paparazzi. After that, they probably went inside and proceeded to snort down an 8-ball of blow. No, I dont know this, but you would really have to be naive to think that Lindsay just went home and went to bed.
Crazy Lohan is back in town, just thank God she has a driver these days.

There are so many great DVDs and Blu-ray discs out now that many movie fans are making the step from TV to home theatre.
In the case of classics like Lawrence of Arabia, Star Wars or The Lord Of The Rings, there really is no other way to watch them. On a 27-inch TV they look plain ridiculous!
Even if you dont have the space or the budget for a dedicated room in which to install a home theatre with authentic seating, you can still get yourself a nice setup in your family room that will return hours of pleasure.
Whether you plan to spend $2,000 or $20,000, getting into home theatre is a big step and you want to get it right, so here are a few tips:
1. Decide on a budget, but buy the best quality you can afford. Remember, after-sales service is very important.
2. Take your time and dont rush, no matter how tempting those limited time offer sales might seem or how eager a sales associate is to make sure you leave the store with something . . . anything!
3. Take the measurements of the room you plan for your home theatre and discuss your plans with a home theatre expert. Its no good buying a 103-inch high def plasma monitor if you have a 12-foot square room or a small apartment, for example. It will simply overwhelm your eyes - and the room. A pro can advise you on a sensible-sized display and sound system, where the screen should sit, how high off the floor and myriad other details you might not have thought of. You also want the style of the home theatre equipment to blend in with the room it will occupy.
4. If you are planning to convert a room into a home theatre youll want to pay attention to getting the proper lighting and hidden wiring. Nothing looks worse than a load of extension leads, plugs and speaker wires all over the place. If youre a dud with drywall and electrics like me, get the professionals in. Its worth paying more to have the job done right. Likewise, getting the right seating in - and an adequate number of seats for guests.
5. While upconverting DVD players are now well under $100 Id urge you to go Blu-ray if youre getting a home theatre. its going to cost you at least $250-$300 (likely more now the dollar exchange has gone south!), for a good player, but remember that Blu-ray can upconvert your standard DVDs to near high-def quality. And as the price of Blu-ray discs has been coming down quite nicely (I saw a 2-for-$20 Blu-ray sale a coupla weeks ago), the case for Blu-ray is getting stronger.
6. Did I say take your time and dont rush?!

The “Real Housewives of New York” are down for the count…or countess I should say. It seems that Countess LuAnn de Lesseps and her husband the Count have parted ways. Oh no! Who will boss the poor housekeeper, Rosie around? Who will forget to feed the dog? Who will wave to Victoria as she is shipped off to boarding school?
It seems the Count has a wandering eye. It probably didn’t help that he spends most of his time in Europe while LuAnn spends her days wandering around New York spending his cash.

Although I am completely addicted to this show, which airs tonight at 10:00 PM/EST on Bravo, I must admit the Countess is a piece of work. This divorce announcement comes only a short month before her book, “Class with the Countess” is due to be released. That’s classy.

As a result, I received a legal notice from Jamie Spears’ lawyers pressuring me to close BreatheHeavy.com by 3:00 p.m. PST today, March 27, 2009, or face an injunction, claiming they will pursue legal action by Jamie Spears, who, as a conservator, is legally allowed to act as Britney and sue using her money and lawyers.
“Britney doesn’t control her affairs,” said Brad Rose, the lawyer representing Britney in this case in a telephone conversation.
“You are an uber fan who’s gone a little too far.”
This conservatorship Britney is placed under, which controls every aspect of her life, is now clenching the future of her biggest Fansite.
“I will destroy your ass,” threatened Jamie Spears to me in a telephone conversation.
